In his first Dutch TT ever Bo just misses out on the podium and takes fourth in the first race. Fourth is his best result so far in the Red Bull Rookies Cup. The race was brought back to fourteen laps because of the heavy rain. After a good start Bo lost several places in the jam in corner one and comes out as tenth after lap one. After a few laps he loses even more spots and finds himself in thirteenth. The gap to the leader is already 19 seconds at that point. Bo realises he has to pick up the pace and he’s getting into a better rythm. The confidence with the bike is growing and he feels he’s capable of more in the rain then he thaught. “I’m not a real rainracer but I noticed the feeling with the bike was oke, and I was able to get back to the front.” There are some fallers on the wet track and then it becomes clear that the 14 laps are to short to make it to the podium; he misses out on 0,1 second, putting in the fastest racelap when he sees third place is at stake,..” I’m shure that when we would have gone for 16 laps I would have been on the rostrum, this is my best result in the Rookies Cup so I’m happy with that. When it is wet again tomorrow I know I can be there right from the start, the feeling with the bike was great”.
