Lacking confidence on a dry track on raintyres resulted in a disappointing thirteenth spot for Bo. He was never in the race for a moment. The race was postponed for half an hour because of the changing conditions and shortened to nine laps. The organisers of the Rookies Cup decided to send the riders out on wet tyres. Bo had qualified fifth and a good result should be possible. But as soon as the riders went out is was obvious the track had dried out completely and no more rain was coming,.. Bo had a good start but lost some spots in the first corner. Because the tyres wore off really quick, his confidence was going down and he kept losing places, even down to twentiest spot. In the last two laps his feeling with the bike became better and he was able to pass some riders to finish the race as thirteenth. ” Conditions were equal for everyone with the raintyres, but I was to afraid to fall. A dry track on raintyres aren’t exactly ideal to start a race. In the back off my head was also the fear of injuring my arm again that has not healed completely yet. It’s a real shame the race went this way and I’m quit pissed. After qualifying fifth I’d hoped for a better result. Tomorrow has to be better, that’s what I am going to focus on.”
