Positive feeling despite results

Allthough results in the two last races of the season weren’t that good, Bo left Valencia with a positive feeling. “ Thenth in qualifying was more than I had hoped for, the bike was working well and my laptimes came quit easy.” Both races were interrupted by red flags after several crashes. The fortyfour riders were forced to do two sprintraces of nine laps. In the first race Bo was immediately in a strong group. There was no time for building his race up slowly and Bo fought his way up to tenth. With three laps to go it all went up in smoke when Bo found himself in the gravelpit. He could continue but only finished in thirtythird place. “ I was fighting with Marini and I tried to outbrake him, but I was up a gear to high and I was going to fast, so I outbraked myself and slid off. That’s racing. Too bad. The bike wasn’t damaged that much, but I hurt my foot in the fall.”

Race two

The second race is also held over nine laps. Conditions have changed; wind has become much stronger and the temperature is up some degrees. Bo is little more careful after his crash in the first race.” I really have to give 120% to pass a rider, but this race I was too careful and lost too many spots. Nine laps is a short time to make up places. In Moto3 you have to be in the right group right away, if you want to land a good result. In this race I couldn’t do it.” Bo finishes in seventeenth. Bo ends the Spanish Open in fifteenth and looks back at the season: “ It was a good first season with Dutch Racing Team. Taking a top ten spot in this championship is really tough. There are a lot of factory teams, with really fast machinery and that  isn’t making it any easier. I had to get used to the firm fights for position in these races. Before it was mostly me dictating the pace, but now you’re with a lot of strong riders. I learned a lot, those fights will be the same in the Grand Prix, so I have to get that experience to become better.”
