Bo takes podium at Le Mans

After a strongly build up and exciting race Bo took his first podium in the Spanish Open. The race was redflagged after a big crash and shortened to twelve laps. Bo got in a eight rider group after the restart fighting for the lead. Bo was mostly in seventh in the group. Halfway of the race Bo stepped up his pace and got to fourth within three laps. With two laps to go he took over third spot. In the last lap he was even in second, but was outsmarted by Malaysian rider Pawi. Bo took third at the finish. “Before the race our goal was to get on the podium. P6 on the grid looked good, but we knew our race pace was very good. I even set the fastest lap in the race with a 1.43,9. The only lap under 1.44. It was a difficult race being in a big group. Halfway through I could gain some spots. I had to do it in the corners because those guys were coming past again at the straight every time out of the slipstream. Getting in to second the last lap gave me some breathingspace, because I knew the guy behind me would come back on me, but I was shure that I could take the third step on the rostrum that way. I even tried to fight back when he passed me but it was to risky and I chose to take third. My first podium in this championship, fantastic !”
