The second free practice was held under much better conditions then the first session this morning. During free practice one the track was still wet after showers last night. Under tose conditions some rider even chose not to go out at all. Bo Bendsneyder did and was 12th in FP1. Fastest this morning was Khairul Pawi. This afternoon the sun was back out and the track was completely dry, so perfect conditions for all the riders. In the beginning of the session Championship leader Brad Binder was fastest, until, with eight minutes to go, Hiroki Ono set a faster laptime, nearly four tenth faster then Binder. Binder was able to set another faster lap but ended in fourth at the end of the session. Bagnaia and Di Giannantonio were second and third. Bo Bendsneyder took nineteenth place on the Mugello track, his second time he races this track, after his first year in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, two years ago.
