After the fatal crash of Luis Salom yesterday the Organisers, together with the riders head decided to use another layout of the circuit, the same used as in F1. To get used to the track the third free practice was held over 55 minutes instead of the normal 40. In that session Bo was 19th. Navarro was quickest. After the first run of the qualifying practice Bo was in 25th. Canet was first. In his second run Bo climbs to 16th, but is dropped some spots and finds himself in 22nd spot before his last run. In that last run, with just over 5 minutes to go, he goes out with Teammate Brad Binder. There’s only time for two fast laps; Binder sets the fastes time in his first flying lap, Bo is stil in 22nd. In the last lap Antonelli comes to top spot, but Binder takes it back. Bo sets 13th time in his last lap but goes to 14th when Fenati takes ninth spot on the grid.
