Bendsneyder 11th at Catalunya

At the start polesetter Brad Binder is away quickest. Bo Bendsneyder has a good start and is 11th after the first corner, but loses some spots after and at the end of lap one he is in 17th. Alexis Masbou and Stefano Valtulini crash in the first lap, as does Adam Norrodin. Maria Herrera crashes in lap three. In lap four Hiroki Ono takes out Jules Danilo as he crashes. In lap six Francesco Bagnaia and Andrea Migno crash out of the race. This crash breaks the leading  group, and we are now looking at a ten man lead group. Bo Bensneyder is in a four man group battling for 11th. At the front the lead changes constantly. Half way the race Kornfeil and Antonelli have to let the other eight frontrunners go. The group with Bendsneyder is closing in fast. In lap 15 Antonelli crashes out trying to close the gap to the leading group. In lap 16 Pawi, Bulega and Canet also lose contact to the leaders leaving five riders in the front battling for the win. Bo is in 11th with six laps to go. With four laps to go Gabriel Rodrigo runs in to the back of Brad Binder, forcing both riders wide and Binder drops back to 8th. With 3 laps to go Pawi crashes out. Rodrigo crashes trying to make up again to the leaders with two laps to go. Brad Binder gets back on to the four leaders and takes three riders in one corner resolving in second spot for him. He then tries to close the gap to leader Navarro, but at the finish line he is 0.5 seconds off. Navarro takes his first win in the Moto3 World Championship. Binder is second, Bastianini takes third in front of Fenati, Bulega, Canet, Quartararo, Mir, Di Giannantonio, Kornfeil and Bendsneyder, who is 11th.
