The Tech3 Racing duo of Remy Gardner and Bo Bendsneyder got into grips today with the partly new asphalted Termas de Río Hondo Circuit while commencing the Argentina Grand Prix with a steady performance. Gardner initiated Friday’s practices with less than one second to the top and lowered her lap time during FP2 by 0.363 seconds to eventually finish day one in an excellent 10th position overall. At the same time, Moto2 rookie Bendsneyder adapted gradually to the 4.8-kilometer circuit, but was restrained in her progress abroad the Mistral 610 machine by rain around halftime of the second session, yet concluding day one in 25th.

“In the beginning, it was difficult to learn this new track with the Moto2, but step by step it was coming better. Finally, during the second session we were improving, just on the end the rain came, so we didn’t have a chance to put on a new tyre to improve our lap time. But eventually, I think it was a productive day to learn. From tomorrow, we need to work hard and try to make a bigger step.”
