Bendsneyder 23rd in qualifying

The Tech3 Racing duo of Bo Bendsneyder and Hector Garzo experienced a hard Qualifying at Jerez de la Frontera. However, Bendsneyder did some solid Free Practice sessions to commence the Spanish GP weekend, where he showed a very good race pace, but struggled during the Saturday afternoon session to eventually find himself starting from the eighth row of the grid. Meanwhile, Hector Garzo, who is replacing Remy Gardner in Jerez, did well to improve his lap time from FP1 on Friday by 1.663 seconds in Qualifying and is set to tackle his second ever Moto2 World Championship race from the tenth row at 12:20 local time tomorrow.

“It was a difficult day. At the end of the day, we were not able to find a really good package, so the Qualifying didn’t go like we expected. The position is quite far from the top, but we hope, that with the good race pace we did, we might be able to make up positions. We need to fight hard to be back there and hoping for some points. It was a hard day, I’m just looking forward to tomorrow.
