Bendsneyder prepared to fight in the Tuscan Hills

The Tech3 Racing duo faces a tough challenge for the sixth round of the Moto2 World Championship 2018, but both, Bo Bendsneyder and Hector Garzo, feel more than ready to attack. Dutch rookie Bendsneyder was able to up his pace significantly from yesterday and did some solid laps during FP3 and Qualifying in order to find himself just 0.617 seconds off the top 10.

Meanwhile Garzo had an even bigger task, riding in Mugello for the first time ever, the Spanish youngster made a huge step in FP3 and was 1.831 seconds faster than in FP1, but has to launch her third race this year from the eleventh row of the grid. The Italian Moto2 Grand Prix is set to get underway at 12.20 local time.

Bo Bendsneyder: Position: 23rd – Time: 1’52.729 – Laps: 17

“I think the qualifying wasn’t so bad, finally we did our best time in the end and we could see that many guys did their fastest lap in the beginning because of the temperatures. I’m happy about the consistency and I also did it completely alone. It’s 1.1 second from the first position and I think it’s only half a second to the top ten or maybe less, so I’m glad we were able to close the gap. It’s still not the position that we want, but I think we need to focus on tomorrow, especially on the beginning of the race to gain some positions in order to be ready to fight for some points.”
