Bendsneyder to kick off Catalan GP from ninth row

Following his ultra-fast recovery, Tech3 Racing Team rider Remy Gardner is back on his Mistral 610 this weekend and showed great progress on the first two days. The Australian improved his pace from FP1 to FP3 by 1.474 seconds and although he was fighting hard through the pain during the hot Qualifying this afternoon, he managed to secure an eighth row start for tomorrow’s 22 laps race, starting at 12.20 local time. Meanwhile, Bo Bendsneyder had a solid start into day two as well, lowering his best lap by one second from Friday morning, but struggled to find his good feeling in the afternoon session and therefore has to tackle his seventh intermediate class race from 26thspot on the grid.

Bo Bendsneyder ; Position: 26th – Time: 1’45.089 – Laps: 19

“It was a very difficult Qualifying because I was missing the feeling with the bike, on the front and the rear. So, we’ll check what we can do for tomorrow, but we’ll see how the weather is, if it’s a bit colder or hotter, which will make a huge difference. In comparison to FP3 this morning, I lost my feeling, which lead me to do many mistakes, therefore it was truly not easy today.”
