Bendsneyder unlucky in Catalunya

Just six weeks after his heavy training accident, Tech3 Racing Team’s Remy Gardner was back in action for this weekend’s Catalan Grand Prix. With a lack of fitness, he fought incredibly hard trough the 22 laps race, making up one place after another to eventually reach the points scoring positions. On the other side of the Tech3 Racing Team garage, Bo Bendsneyder initiated the day with a strong Warm Up session, where he went 15th fastest. Later on, he came off the line well, made up some ground, but was unfortunately hit by two competitors, which ended his race already on the first lap.

“I think the bad luck will be over in Assen. Finally, apart from the Qualifying it was a positive weekend. We showed that we are competitive fighting for the points. Also, in terms of lap times during the race, I think we could have been doing quite well. This time, I didn’t do any mistake. I had a good start, gained three positions, but in turn four there were two riders coming full in behind me, so I crashed. I don’t even know what exactly happened, but that’s life. We can’t change anything now. I’m more motivated for Assen now to show our potential because we know we can do it.”
