Starting from the ninth row of the grid, Bo Bendsneyder was fighting hard in today’s Austrian GP in Spielberg. The Dutch rookie lost some positions at the start of the race and found himself in 31st after the first lap but bounced back step by step and made up one position by another. At the end of 25 intense and hot laps, Bendsneyder finally saw the chequered flag in 22nd.

“For sure, it has been one of the hardest race I ever did, especially in Moto2 but we knew before that it would be tough, especially because of the rainy conditions we didn’t have to much time in the dry. It’s the same for everybody, but for me it was the first time on this track with this bike. To be honest, we struggled a lot, also this weekend it was quite hectic in any respect, so I want to apologize to my team that I probably haven’t been the same like normal. Anyway, we keep working and take the positive and the negative experiences from here with us to the next race in Silverstone. We keep improving and for sure, we will come back stronger.”
