British Grand Prix: all races cancelled

Following a fantastic Qualifying, Remy Gardner and Bo Bendsneyder didn’t get the chance today to convert their second and 18th starting position into a great race, as the British GP had to be cancelled today due to persistent rain and standing water on the new Silverstone circuit asphalt.

Bo Bendsneyder ;  Championship: 29th – Points: –

I’m really disappointed that the race was canceled but the priority is to ride safe and today it wasn’t safe. We had a good Qualifying yesterday, so with that feeling we move to Misano and work hard there again!

The Moto2 race was dictated by the MotoGP riders’ decision not to race, so once the MotoGP riders decided not to race it was obvious that Moto2 and Moto3 will be cancelled. I feel very, very sorry for Remy, who had a great weekend, Qualifying, Warm Up, all weekend long, she has been fast and I think it could have been an incredible weekend for her and as well for Bo. She did by far the best weekend of the year and I think it would have been good for her to show what she can do. It’s not going to happen, so we have to accept the decision, move on and try to do the same Qualifying with our two riders in Misano.”
