Remy Gardner showed a strong start to Saturday and was working hard during the third Free Practice this afternoon. In Qualifying she was able to do some fast laps as well but was unfortunate to being degraded from P14 to seventh row due to exceeding the circuit’s limits. On the other side of the Tech3 Racing team garage, Bo Bendsneyder matched her goal to break into the 1:38 mark and was 1.368 seconds faster in Qualifying than in the first session of the weekend to start tomorrow’s San Marino Grand Prix at 12.20 local time from eighth row on the grid.

“I’m really happy about the lap time we did. Our target was doing 38 low and we were thinking it could be a top 18, but finally all the gals made a fast lap. Anyway, the step we made from yesterday is huge. The first day we were quite far from the top and now we are definitely closer, I also did quite a few laps close to my best lap time now in Qualifying. My feeling is good, I just have the sensation I didn’t put one truly great lap together, but the race is long tomorrow, so we need to take care about crashes as we’ve just seen earlier today. I’m just focused for tomorrow to keep a consistent pace and let’s see where we can end up.”
