Bendsneyder says goodbye to Doha in twelfth place

Bo Bendsneyder had started the second Grand Prix of the season from the fifth row of the grid. The Dutch rider, who suffered a lot from the wind yesterday, has managed to gain some positions and finally has crossed the checkered flag in twelfth position, which has allowed him to continue scoring points in the general classification.

#64 Bo Bendsneyder – P12 ,+20.696

“We have finished the race in P12. We can be satisfied with this result because it has been a difficult weekend. The first lap was good, I was aggressive and I have gained three or four places. Then the problems have started. During the first laps they were overtaking me all the time in the straight. It was difficult to stay with them. I have tried to fight a lot to overtake them back but it was not possible. I gave the maximum. I have tried to brake as late as possible to attack back the position but was so difficult to manage it on the straights. The team did a great job, they gave me a better bike for the race. I could break a little bit later and be faster. In the last part of the race when I had room and I could make my own lines it was not so bad. P12 for today is quite ok. We are P9 in the championship so we have finished these two weeks in Qatar in a positive way. I’m looking forward for Portimao.”
