Bendsneyder closes a complicated weekend at the Italian Misano track. The Dutch rider started the race overtaking several riders in the first corners, before proceeding to comply with the penalty imposed last Saturday to perform a long lap penalty. Starting from the last positions Bendsneyder was able to overcome and demonstrate a great race pace that made him reach to the second group of the race, thus getting into points positions. He finally completed the race in twelfth place, after fighting relentlessly until the checkered flag.

“We knew from the beginning that it was going to be a tough race, especially because we had to do the long lap penalty in the first laps with the group together. After serving the penalty I gave everything until the last corners to get the best position. We benefited from the crashes on track, but not every time it’s a matter of luck, today it was also influenced by the high temperature conditions and the low grip on track. It was tough but we can take the points we have added to the Championship and the information we have gained. I want to thank all my team for the great work of the weekend and I’m looking forward to Aragón”
