Bendsneyder 14th in qualifying, long lap penalty for the race

Bendsneyder completed a difficult day where luck has not accompanied our rider. After facing a tight timed practice he was forced to go into Q1, by only seventy-two thousandths of a second. During the qualifying the Dutch driver remained among the first positions and managed with great skill to pass to Q2. Finally, on Sunday he will start from fourteenth place, after being affected by a yellow flag on track. In addition, during the race he will have to take a long lap penalty, after being cautioned for slow lapping during FP3.

#64 Bo Bendsneyder

“In Q1 we were able to do a good lap and we were able to pass to Q2. During Q2 we changed the bike a little bit, which allowed me to go faster, being able to make a step forward. But unfortunately we encountered the yellow flag, I’m sure that if it had happened two seconds later it wouldn’t have affect us and we would have started tomorrow from tenth position. Tomorrow we will start from fourteenth place with the addition of the penalty, the long lap penalty does not help us but I am more motivated to achieve a good result in the race. We’ll see what the weather has in store for us tomorrow, because we won’t know what scenario we’ll encounter. I can’t wait!”
