Although the results are not what Raúl Castañeda’s team aims for, the attitude and commitment shown every weekend are spot on. The team earned two points, which mark the path to follow for the remainder of the championship.
The team started at this iconic circuit with the riders far back on the grid, significantly impacting the fight for more points, especially for our Dutch rider Bo Bendsneyder (#64), who finished in fourteenth place and enjoyed the love and support of the fans at every turn. Bo Bendsneyder, aware that he did not make the best start today, felt very comfortable riding his new preicana bike, reaching a pace superior to the leaders in the final stretch of the race. At the start of the race, he got stuck behind Belgian rider B. Baltus, who slowed him down for several laps, causing him to lose ground.
It was the first Grand Prix for our Dutch rider with his new technical staff; the communication was fantastic, and both the rider and the staff are leaving with good feelings. Bo Bendsneyder ends a home weekend scoring points, breaking the team’s bad streak, with good feelings on the track and knowing that if he improves his qualifying, he can be in the Top 10.
#64 Bo Bendsneyder (P14)
It was a special race. After seven weeks without competing, I was very nervous before the race. But I stayed focused and had a very good feeling on the bike. It was my first weekend with my new staff, and I want to thank them for the work they have done; it has been impressive, and I am very happy. I also want to thank Raúl Castañeda and Edu Perales for the opportunity to compete again.”
