Bo took a well deserved sixth at Autódrome Internacional do Algarve after a strong performance in the race. The fifteen-year old showed some real perceverence and good racecraft. Starting from seventeenth he managed to gain eleven places, finishing the race in sixth. “ It was a tough weekend, qualifying didn’t go well. The bike setup was ok but I couldn’t get into a rhythm. This morning in the warmup, the feeling was back. Despite the gusty wind I could keep up easily with the fastest guys, and that even on old tyres. That gave me quit a confidence boost. My aim was tenth or twelfth, so getting to sixth is fantastic !” At the start Bo wins some spots, but has to dodge a rider in the first corner, going off with a highsider. “ I was lucky to stay on the bike, but it cost me a lot of time, I was back in seventeenth again after that incident.” After a few laps Bo is in twelfth and in a group chasing leader Fabio Quartararo and a five rider bunch behind him. In the following laps some riders who are normally podiumcontenders, have to retire. Bo is slowly getting to the front in his group. In lap twelve he’s in front of the group after a smart outbreaking maneuver. “ My goal was to take two riders in that action, but I passed four. Real nice, but I knew that I had to push from that moment on to stay in front.” Bo is setting the pace and is hunting Bradley Ray in front of him. In the leading group Gabriel Rodrigo crashes and Bo is in sixth. The gap to Ray is to big to close. “ When I got in front of the group I could step up the pace and I was closing the gap to Ray, but there were not enough laps left to do it. “
