For the French team’s home round in Le Mans, Bo Bendsneyder arrived on the grid with some extra motivation to do well. Starting from the seventh row, the Moto2 rookie made up positions step by step and did some good lap times towards the second half of the race to eventually miss out on his first point narrowly, finishing in 16th place. Bo got a time penalty of 1.7 seconds after cutting the chicane. This however didn’t change the result; he was 1.5 seconds behind Pawi ast the line and over 4 seconds in front of Steve Odendaal.
Hector Garzo, who jumped in again in place of Remy Gardner this weekend, delivered some solid first laps and found himself in 24thposition early on after starting from P27 on the grid. Yet, the young Spaniard got penalized for a jump start and had to ride through the pit lane, whereby he lost his rhythm, which led to an unfortunate early end of his race.

“Finally, it’s not the result that we wanted. We need to fight for the points and in the end, we came out again with zero points. Apart from this I think we gathered some good information to try for tomorrow’s test. We want to try to make another step on Monday here, as I think this is very important before we go to Mugello to find something more. I want to thank my team for everything.”
