Two days of private testing came to a close on Thursday at Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, with Ai Ogura (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) topping the Moto2™ timesheets thanks to a 1:41.351. The Japanese rider set that lap on the first day of testing to ensure he will head into the Official Portimao Test in good form.
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Fermin Aldeguer (Speed Up Racing) reaffirmed their statuses as two of the intermediate class’ hottest prospects. Reigning Moto3™ Champion Acosta finished just 0.003s off of Ogura as he seems to have taken little to no time to adapt to Moto2™ machinery, while Aldeguer rounds out the top three, just over a tenth off. Bo Bendsneyder was getting up to speed and was 9th after day 2.

We did a little time attack on the soft. We have had two positive days of testing, the team did a great job. Let’s go to Portimao for the official IRTA test on Februari 19th, 20th and 21st !!”
