Bo Bendsneyder put in an impressive performance throughout the session. From the start of Q1, he was at the front of one of the closest qualifying sessions of the season. Despite his efforts, the Dutchman missed out on Q2 by just three thousandths of a second and will start in 19th place.

“We improved a lot in Q1, and I was able to get my lap times on my own. I preferred to prepare for the race and also make it through to Q2, but we only missed out by three thousandths of a second. We have to be positive to focus on the race; we seem to have a good pace. The first few laps will be important to be there and gain positions until the checkered flag. I can’t wait for tomorrow’s race!”
