Bendsneyder completes the day’s qualifying in fifteenth place. After a start of the weekend conditioned by the weather changes on track, Bendsneyder made it directly to Q2, due to the time set in FP1. During qualifying, in dry conditions on track, our rider showed his potential from the start, positioning himself among the first classified. A very close qualifying with a total of sixteen riders in one second, Bendsneyder was only eight tenths of a second behind the first classified despite the poor dry conditions.

“It’s been a strange weekend because we’ve only had a single session in dry conditions, as was FP1. For tomorrow the conditions are looking like it will be dry. During FP1 we had a good feeling but then we had a lot of wet sessions and the track was wet most of the time. Qualifying was stranger than usual, unfortunately I couldn’t improve compared to the FP1 lap time so we start from fifteenth position. Tomorrow I will give my best to have a great race.”
