Bendsneyder scores points in thrilling home race

From the start of the race, Bo Bendsneyder was determined to move up the order. After a hard fought first lap in which he stayed in the first group of the race, he started an intense chase for the top ten. The good feeling returned for Bendsneyder, who fought his way up to tenth position. However, a contact late in the race, while fighting for ninth place, relegated him to thirteenth, eventually finishing twelfth.

“I’m super happy to have the good feeling back. I want to thank my crew because they worked very hard and never stopped believing in me. We changed some big things to get this feeling back and this made me able to fight for important positions in the race. I was fighting for the ninth position but unfortunately the rider I was overtaking came to me and pushed me went off the track, losing three seconds on that lap. Although our real position would have been ninth or tenth. Racing is like this and the most important thing is that we have a good feeling back, which allows us to fight with the top guys. We have to make another step forward in Australia!”
